Shwim (쉼): to rest

Shwim (쉼) in Korean means to rest and is a nod to my Korean heritage.

I believe that deep rest is a birthright and a vital part of fully-embodied, whole-hearted living. However, in our fast-paced modern society (combined with trauma history for some), many of us are living in disembodied, disconnected survival states of fight, flight, freeze, and shut down, pushing through stress and overwhelm with little rest, recovery, and restoration.

My hope is that Shwim Counselling & Consulting can be a resting, healing space where you can safely slow down, pause, and return to a felt state of safety, balance, and homeostasis. I welcome and invite you into our space to rest your body, mind, and spirit - allowing yourself to access your inner resources, resilience, and inherent wisdom of your body.
